番薯爸爸 did the shopping in Chiangmai.. He got into the habit of going to the weekly market down the road and to the supermarket. He would come back with some weird and wonderful things. One of them being liver and the other spinach. Maria looked up a recipe for 猪肝菠菜湯 which I’d never tried before, but actually turned out to be rather good.

Another weird and wonderful thing (not food related) was seeing water buffalos swimming at the bottom of our hotel !

Another time, I was working and had to grab a quick lunch. I found out there was a boat noodle restaurant nearby and walked down the road to get a takeaway. It’s the first time I had soup noodles in a bag!

Hotel breakfast was cancelled the next morning as the chef was unavailable, so I took 番薯爸爸 for a boat noodle breakfast. I think it’s our first boat noodle breakfast!

& finally, we made it to Chiangmai Zoo, though I was not too impressed. Lots of things were closed, probably post-COVID. It was quite big. I only took a few pics of birds, though there was more to see than that!

After the zoo, we went to Red Panda Cafe (see my drink!), which had a steep slide from 1/F to G/F. Sadly we don’t have any pictures of it and it’s not shown on the website. I do remember feeling a bit too scared to go in it, as 番薯爸爸 went.. Maybe I went, but if I went down a slide and no one took a photo, did I really go? I guess R didn't go, as I feel like there would be a record!
