Hyundai, the car maker from South Korea, has announced plans to use 30,000 humanoid robots in its car factories. This will happen slowly over the next ten years.
The robots are called Atlas. They are made by Boston Dynamics, a company owned by Hyundai. Atlas was shown to the public at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
Hyundai said Atlas will improve human-robot teamwork. The company explained that Atlas is designed to move from simple machines to smart robots powered by artificial intelligence (AI). These robots are meant to help humans and make work easier.Hyundai’s vice-chairperson admitted that some jobs could be lost because of Atlas. However, people will still be needed to train the robots.

At CES, a life-sized Atlas performed on stage. The robot amazed the audience with its skills. It moved like a human:
