Thank you for letting us know and I’m sorry that you have had damage but wonderful that you are well.   What about the children are they with you or scattered over the country?   The pictures we are seeing are heartbreaking with the loss of lives and many injured and so many more like yourselves that will never forget the devastation. Nature can be cruel.

Dear Ray & Lorraine

My kids are adults now. When the earthquake hit, my family were in different places. Michael was in his working place, Nanshan High School.

I was in the gym, waiting for the start of the Yoga class.

Anna is an elementary school teacher in the Special Education category. Her school is in Miaoli County, so she moved to middle Taiwan 2years ago. She always comes home on weekends.

Twins are graduate school students. Sebrina’s school is in Taipei. It only takes 30 minutes to the school by bus.

Skyler is at Hsinchu Tsing Hua University. He called me at the time the earthquake happened. He thought that Sebrina and I were at home and frightened.

I still can feel a minor shake. I couldn’t tell the real earthquake or just the imagination. Luckily, we have a 4-day holiday to recover from the shock.
