1. identify what kind of expression is used in the sentence (expression with de/number/indefinite expression?): indefinite expression (aucune)
2. recognise the pattern: expression of quantity + noun

aucune + réponse

3. For the indefinite expression aucune, the adverbial noun en is used to replace the noun following the expression. The expression aucune itself has to remain at the end of the sentence. En is placed between the negation and auxiliary verb (avoir/être) as compound tense is used in this case.
