Cuba helped to vaccinate many people in spite of the US sanctions.

Since the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1988, Cuba had no choice but to discontinue its relationship with the USSR, but that did not make any difference to the US, who kept on sanctioning Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua for no reason at all.  Cuba consequently had no choice but to help itself to combat the Covid pandemic and developed its own vaccine with the help of Iran. Cuba must be credited for their contribution to the battle against the Coronavirus, their successful development of a vaccine helped many other countries around the world to contain the ravages of this disease, countries that could not depend on the USA.
