7/30 WTC Meeting Notes
Dear all WTC member and friends,
We had an unusual meeting last night....thanks to Olivia and Solomon, we had more guests than members...the room was packed!!
The special guests from America participated in prepared speech and table topic.
Todd shared his observation of Taiwan and think that Taiwanese are more open minded than westerners when it comes to talk about issues like religion, death and meaning of life.
What would you do if you had a US$400 meal and forgot bring your wallet? Truman would wash the dishes!! What's your dream job? Eric loves teaching than being a financial adviser because he gets to go home and spend time with his family at the end of the day. What's the most weired food you've ever had? Over her 25 years in Taiwan, Glanda now hates chicken feet, sea cucumber and stinky tofu >_<....
Yolin did a great job introducing " Beehive rocket festival" and his demostration of putting on the safty gears is so creative! I love it!
Kelly ( Solomon's sister ) offered her opinion on the culture difference between USA and Taiwan. In the west, there's only one God and Satan controls the hell, In Chinese culture, there's a different God in charge of hell and there're 18 levels of hell!!
Our toastmaster-- Philip was as humorous as usual, and table topic master--Justine prepared excellent questions to ask members and guests. General Evaluator-- Angie also conduct her session spontaenously, she invited Eric to evaluate Todd's speech without notifying them first.
Cheers,
Meg
