這是第五個影片。其實我真不知道怎麼翻譯者個故事，但我覺得「Rune」應該是符文，然後「Casting」的意思是把那些有符文石頭丟，都是為了算命。下面的圖片沒有符文，但符文石頭應該差不多。
Casting Runes
M.R. James這位作家是1862出生的中世紀學者，而他的研究重點是中世紀基督教（他的學術叫基督教考古學），但他也是歐洲之一最有名的鬼故事作家。滿多人很深得分析他的故事因為要知道他相不相信鬼，但現在的共識是他其實不相信。應該是被很多古典的基督教的故事印象，然後要開始寫鬼故事。
「筊杯！」是關於一位滿懷的作家，但我們主角是個大出版公司的編輯者。那個壞壞的作家幾個那個公司他寫完了要出版的一本書，然後編輯者們都覺得「哇賽！太可怕了吧！」回答他「謝謝但恐怕頻率不合」。快轉到那個壞壞的作家在表演給孤兒們看。他使用一個magic lantern （幻燈？）。這個：

但他的表演也超級可怕。。。你看：
“At last he produced a series which represented a little boy passing through his own park – Lufford, I mean – in the evening. Every child in the room could recognize the place from the pictures. And this poor boy was followed, and at last pursued and overtaken, and either torn to pieces or somehow made away with, by a horrible hopping creature in white, which you saw first dodging about among the trees, and gradually it appeared more and more plainly.”
...
“Oh, you think it’s time to bring our little show to an end and send them home to their beds? Very well!” And then, if you please, he switched on another slide, which showed a great mass of snakes, centipedes, and disgusting creatures with wings, and somehow or other he made it seem as if they were climbing out of the picture and getting in amongst the audience." 所以他給孤兒們看一個怪獸綁架一位小男孩，然後給他們看很多好可怕的蛇，蟲蟲，還有所謂飛起來的生物，而那些東西都看起來是真的來孤兒院攻擊孤兒。很有殺手小丑的感覺吧。那個有magic lantern的瘋子是那個作家，那個苦苦哀求得拜託出版公司幫她出版他的珍貴書。
喔，對了，那個作家也會用真的魔法，而他想辦法為了得到對那個不要出版他的書的公司的有魔法復仇。
