"I’ve never heard of a Beastman whose mana has no attribute. Everything is composed of the four elements and influenced by day and night; all living beings fall under these six affinities. But your mana is completely pure, untouched by any element. This is entirely unscientific!"
"Most people have attributes they are naturally good or bad at, which simply reflects which type of mana is more active in their bodies. In your case, there are two possibilities: one is 'Extreme Balance,' where all attributes are so perfectly equal that they cancel each other out. The other is that your body simply cannot produce any elemental affinity, resulting in pure, raw mana. Either way, it’s just my speculation—there’s no academic data on this yet." Hu Ji continued scribbling observations in her notebook.
Leshi shrank his neck, anxiously fidgeting with his fingers. "So... am I going to be okay?" He didn't quite understand Hu Ji’s explanation and felt as though he had been born with some sort of defect.
"It’s not a disease, silly child. It’s just that your body structure is different from others, and there's no precedent for it. Don’t worry; we’ll figure out what it is after a few more tries. Until then, don’t use your mana recklessly—who knows what might happen?" Hu Ji looked at Leshi with a serious expression.
"Hu Ji, are you home? The Village Chief wants to see you and the child beside you!" a male fox villager shouted while knocking on the door.
"I’ve got it. I’ll bring him to see the Chief in a moment and explain everything," Hu Ji replied with a look of annoyance, sensing trouble was brewing.
"Alright, Leshi, come with me to see the Chief. Don’t worry; I’ll handle things over there," Hu Ji knelt down and spoke softly to reassure him.
"Did... did I do something wrong?" Leshi worried that Hu Ji might be punished because of him.
"You’ve done nothing wrong. What follows is between me and the Chief; you just stay by my side. Even the Chief has to show me some respect," Hu Ji said, gently taking Leshi’s hand as they headed to the Chief’s house.
"Hu Ji, you violated the rules by bringing an outsider into the village. Don’t tell me you haven’t heard the village laws since you were a child?" the Village Chief said, glaring sternly at Hu Ji.
"I know them; I’ve heard them so many times my ears have grown calluses. But there’s a reason—this child saved Koharu (小春) and me. He lost consciousness because of it, so I had no choice but to bring him here. More importantly, he has no memories and no family; I couldn't bear to leave him to wander alone," Hu Ji said, stepping forward firmly to protect Leshi.
"The rules are the rules. The Kitsune Village remains secluded specifically to avoid trouble from other races. Even if you favor him, will the other villagers accept it?" The Chief released a powerful surge of mana, warning Hu Ji not to cross the line.
"Are we supposed to leave an innocent child to die in the wilderness? I won’t do it!" Hu Ji angrily released her own mana, and the clash caused the ground to tremble.
"Don't kick Leshi-oniichan out!" Koharu appeared, hugging Leshi and crying toward the Chief.
"Chief, isn't this a bit too much? He saved people from our village; you're just bullying a child!" Koharu’s parents stood up for Leshi, questioning the Chief’s judgment.
"Not everyone in the village accepts him. Some fear that letting an outsider in will bring harm. I cannot leave an uncertain factor running around the village," the Chief explained, withdrawing his mana and looking troubled.
"What must be done for everyone to accept Leshi and see that he is harmless and trustworthy?" Hu Ji asked.
"Everyone, follow me," the Chief signaled for them to head to the village square.
"This is the Village Request Board. It records the troubles faced by the villagers. If you can complete these requests, increase your presence, and earn their trust, I believe they will stop being hostile toward you. Can everyone accept this?" The Chief looked at Leshi, still skeptical of his abilities.
"I understand. I’ll work hard to complete the requests and earn everyone's acceptance," Leshi gathered his courage, hoping to be recognized by the villagers.
"It seems the Chief isn't that cold-hearted after all. That's a relief," Koharu’s parents said, happy for Leshi.
"Now you won't have to wander anymore. I'll be by your side to help you get to know everyone and complete those requests one by one," Hu Ji patted Leshi’s head with a smile, believing that with his power, he would soon be accepted.
Note: Village requests are tied to Village Prosperity, affecting the variety and price of items in shops. In the mid-game, the story's direction—and the strength of Leshi’s passive ability, "Eternal Protection"—will be determined based on the number and completion rate of these requests.

好了雷希你跟我去見村長吧，不用擔心村長那邊我會想辦法。狐姬蹲下身姿輕聲安撫著雷希。
我......我是不是做了什麼壞事，雷希擔心因為自己的關係害狐姬受罰。
你沒做錯什麼，接下來是我跟村長的事，你只要待在旁邊就好了，即使是村長也要給我幾分面子。說完狐姬溫柔牽著雷希的手來到村長家。
狐姬，你違反規定帶外人進入村子，村中的規矩從小到大別跟我說你沒聽過？村長嚴肅的看著狐姬。
我知道，而且早就聽得耳朵都長繭了。事出有因這孩子救了我和小春，為此他失去意識我只能帶回村子安置。更重要的是這孩子失去記憶也沒有家人，我不忍心讓他流浪。狐姬伸出右手堅決護著雷希。
村子的規矩就是規矩，狐妖村與世隔絕就是為了避開其他種族的麻煩。就算你偏袒他其他村民能接受嗎？村長釋放強大魔力警告狐姬別想越界。
難道我們要放無辜的孩子在荒郊野外自生自滅？這種事我辦不到！狐姬憤怒的釋放魔力，兩人的魔力使地面開始震動。
不要趕走雷希哥哥！小春出現抱著雷希對著村長哭泣。
村長你這樣會不會太過分了？他救了村子的人，你這完全是欺負小孩！小春的父母護著雷希質疑村長。
村里的人不是每個人都接受他，一些人擔心讓外人進入村內會造成危害，我不可能放著不確定因素在村內到處跑。村長收起魔力為難的跟大家解釋。

這是村子委託欄，紀錄著村民遭遇的困難。只要你能完成委託增加自己曝光度贏的其他村民信任，我想大家應該不會繼續對你抱持敵意。這樣大家能接受嗎？村長對雷希的能力抱持遲疑。
我知道了，我會努力完成委託讓大家接納我。雷希鼓起勇氣希望自己能夠被村民認同。
看來村長也不是那麼死板真是太好了，小春的父母為雷希感到高興。
