There is in God, some say,
A deep but dazzling darkness, as men here
Say it is late and dusky, because they
             See not all clear.
    O for that night! where I in Him
    Might live invisible and dim!

有人說，於神裡
有一股深邃卻眩目的黝暗，
世人稱之為陰沉暮色，
只因慧見未明。
啊，那夜！神裡安居的我
如此無形而黑柔的活！
