In this picture, you can see a young woman painting over the word "FOREVER" with a white paint roller. As she paints, three letters begin to disappear under the white paint, leaving only the bold and black "OVER" visible.
In my opinion, I think the wall used to be really clean, but it slowly got dirtier over time. It once symbolized a promise to stay together forever, but now it's buried under layers of dust. The girl in the picture looks like she was just left by her boyfriend or husband, and sorrow fills her expression. When she finally chose to move on, she painted over the wall with bright colors - covering the letters "F","R", and "E", so that only the word "OVER" remained. She turned "FOREVER" into "OVER", which is a quiet but powerful way of letting go. However, it might not have been that she wanted to end the relationship. Maybe it's a pain, a belief or a difficult phase in her life.
This picture makes me think about the time in my life when I studied at a previous university. During that time, I really liked a senior girl in the guitar club. She shone like a star and taught me so much in the club-like how to organize a performance event, tips for playing guitar and singing, and how to stay calm on stage. More importantly, she gave me the courage to perform. But she already had a boyfriend back then. It took me two years to finally realize that I had to move on. I used to believe that if I liked her forever, I would eventually win her heart. But later, I realized that holding on only made me feel more lost and unable to focus on myself. So, in the end, I chose to let everything go and leave the past behind. Yeah, I'm delighted with my life now.To end, let me share a quote about love-Hermann Hesse's thoughts on what it means to let go.
"Some of us think holding on makes us strong, but sometimes it is letting go"-Hermann Hesse
