    時而


    Sometimes
    if you move carefully
    through the forest,

    時而,
    你小心翼翼
    穿行樹林,

    breathing
    like the ones
    in the old stories,

    如古老傳說中的人物
    寂靜呼吸,

    who could cross
    a shimmering bed of leaves
    without a sound,

    那些人能踏行過
    鋪滿路徑、熠熠生輝的落葉
    不發出一點聲音。

    you come to a place
    whose only task
    is to trouble you
    with tiny
    but frightening requests,

    這時,你就來到了一個地方。
    這地方唯一的任務
    只是以微小但令人畏懼的要求
    來困擾你。

    conceived out of nowhere
    but in this place
    beginning to lead everywhere.

    這些要求不知從何而來,

    Requests to stop what
    you are doing right now,
    and

    to stop what you
    are becoming
    while you do it,
