接著又立刻收到Lorraine的回信

Dear Grace 

How lovely it was to read the messages from Anna, Skyler, and Sabrina.    I should not be surprised because we know how balanced they have been brought up.  

 I do hope that the after-shocks stop soon for everyone as I can imagine how frightening it must be not knowing if one of those shocks will be another big one.  I am glad that your home along with all of you escaped it but my heart goes out to those families that have lost not only family but their homes.  

Ray is wondering how your big building Taipei one is as he said it was built to withstand earthquakes.   We see a film of big buildings that have partially collapsed but nothing on that building.  

Are you still teaching as you say you were waiting to do yoga when it happened?  This must have worried you as to how your husband, children, and house faired.

Your heartwarming words do comfort my aftershocks. Since you are so interested in Taipei 101’s structure, I found a video that can explain the reason why it withstands strong earthquakes. Hope you like it.
