【嗑劇】《絕命律師》第一季（下）：兩種價值觀的衝突。

第一季，第九集，44：00 ，原來...

第一季的最高潮莫過於最後片尾，Jimmy發現，原來當初被事務所發佈不雇用以及在最後他挖掘出的養老院大型詐欺案，卻仍不被事務所以「不得參加本案」為條件，做為籌碼。

遮這一些的始作俑者從來不是他原本討厭的事務所合夥人，而是........他的親哥哥，Chuck，當他拼湊出這一切時，Jimmy的世界觀就差點崩塌了。

他視為導師的那個哥哥，原來才是將他排除在律師世界的一切，他回到小屋向哥哥質問，老Chuck是這樣回應的：

The only thing that makes sense is.... you told him not to hire me. It was always you, right?

Right back to when I passed the bar and tried to join the firm. You didn't want me.

Speak up. Tell me why. It's the least you can do for me now. I'm your brother. We're supposed to look out for each other. Why were you working against me, Chuck?


You're not a real lawyer.

I'm what ?

You're not a real lawyer.

University of America Samoa, for Christ's sake. An online course? What a joke.

I worked my ass off to get where I am. And you take these shortcuts and you think suddenly you're my peer?

You do what I do because you're funny and you can make people laugh? I committed my life to this.

You don't slide into it like a cheap pair of slippers and reap all the rewards.

I thought you were proud of me.

I was. When you straightened out and got a job in the mailroom, I was very proud.

So that's it then right ? Keep old Jimmy down in the mailroom. He's not good enough to be a lawyer.

I know you. I know what you were, what you are. People don't change. You're Slippin' Jimmy.

And Slippin' Jimmy I can handle just fine. But Slippin' Jimmy with a law degree is like a chimp with a machine gun.

The law is sacred. If you abuse that power, people get hurt. This is not a game.

You have to know --On some level, I know you I'm right. You know you know I'm right. You know I'm right.

如果你是跟我一樣從第1季一路追下來觀眾，你肯定會跟我一樣同情主角Jimmy， 這季的結尾，帶來絕命律師的核心主軸：

1、渴望被認同的主角，卻始終被否定。

從原本走上歧途的騙徒，到後來渴求獲得哥哥認同，苦讀考到律師執照，卻被原本工作的事務所拒於門外，必須成為接單法庭公訴律師，在越南腳療店的小雜務室中，勉強生存。

當哥哥的疾病發作，做為僅剩的親人，他幾乎上下打理哥哥的生活，但最後面對的是哥哥的封殺。

當他質疑哥哥時，他希望的是哥哥的解釋並且道歉，但得到的卻是「強烈的批判」與「完全否定」。

I know you. I know what you were, what you are. People don't change. You're Slippin' Jimmy.

這段話，連在螢幕的我，都能感受到Jimmy心破碎的聲音。

2、兩種價值觀的衝突：

怎樣的律師，才是一名優秀的律師，是像Chuck名門出身，優秀良好的戰績和功力，並且擁有大型事務所作為靠山？

還是像Jimmy這般，憑藉優異口才，不按「正規」牌裡出牌、化腐朽為神奇的非正規律師？


「歷史是勝利的人所撰寫的。」這句話是否是真理，就要看兩者未來的角力，而目前，Chuck在第一局，首先拔得頭籌。

3、律師權力的濫權？

在影集開始前，我們已經知道Jimmy將是一個在「法律邊緣」遊走的律師，但你也可以從滑板兄弟、銀行夫妻的案例中，知道Jimmy的「善良」本質，在生存的路上，他面對的不是非黑即白世界，為了生存，他必須

Chuck的用「擁槍的黑猩猩」來比喻擁有律師執照的弟弟，是嫉妒弟弟的成功，還是真知灼見，我想就是後續，所要展開的故事。
