2018年，全世界第一條國家級的「寂靜山徑」，就從海拔1800公尺的翠峰湖畔出發。正因為這是世界第一條國家級的「寂靜山徑」，世界知名的野地錄音師、《一平方英吋的寂靜》這本書的作者Gordon Hempton將在12月份親臨台灣，見證這份努力的成果。而這一切的機緣是從2012年他和台灣野地錄音師，《搶救寂靜》作者、同時也是台灣聲景協會的理事長范欽慧，由一顆「寂靜許願石」開始，所展開一連串不可思議的環境行動。
為何「傾聽寂靜」在這個時代如此重要? 為何兩位從來不認識的野地錄音師，會因為「傾聽寂靜」而走向這段奇妙的生命旅程？這份力量究竟從何而來？為何在喧鬧的台灣，會由公民齊心推動這場「寂靜」的革命，並從本土走向國際?

In 2018, Taiwan’s first national " Silent Trail" is established in Taipinshan, this trail around Cueifong Lake at an altitude of 1840m is the most tranquil place in all of Taiwan. Gordon Hempton, the world-renowned nature sound field recorder and author of "One Square of Silence" will visit Taiwan in coming December 2 to witness this effort. The action initiated by the Taiwanese field recorder, and the director of the Soundscape Association of Taiwan, Fan Qinhui(Laila Fan), was inspired by Gordon's book in 2012. .
Why is "Listening to Silence" so important in this era? Why do the two field recorders who have never known each other would go to this wonderful journey because of "listening to silence"? Where did this power come from? Why is the citizens in the noisy Taiwan, would work together to promote this "silent" revolution together?
