Arranging the desks and chairs in the classroom is crucial ── I need to have a clear view of all the students.

I vividly recall during the pandemic when maintaining a proper distance between everyone meant that the desks and chairs were positioned in a way that obstructed my view of some students.

So, there were times during class when I would turn around only to be surprised by a student I hadn't noticed before.

"Hey, no phones during class!" I'd admonish, feeling a tad frustrated.

Thankfully,

now that the pandemic is over, we can go back to arranging the desks and chairs in a way that allows me to see everyone without any blind spots.

It's a relief. The classroom layout enables me to keep an eye on each and every student.

As they say, prevention is better than cure.
