I came across a lovely coat on a website, with fancy fonts and everything (on the website, not the coat). After some consideration, I decided to treat myself in this time of year. I placed an order out of pure excitement only to find out that I was stupid enough to forgot the WELCOME code which served 10% off of each order.
Oddly enough, the first thing I did was to place another order using that code and got a 10% off, which I felt content at the moment (until I was not). I then sent an email to the costumer service leisurely to cancel my first order, assuming surely they can understand (except they did not). They refused to cancel my order (surprise surprise), and in retrospect, I should not have been so shocked should I?
I felt anxious and started searching the most bizarre way to fix this on the internet, and naturally, I found the exact same coat on another website with a 25% off deal today only (what a plot twist)! Shocked, desperate and defeated, I looked into the return policy which I should have done hours, or probably thousand years ago, only to find out the standard return fee is 25 quid, approximately equal to the 10% off of my purchase, and if I return both orders and buy from the 25% off source, I will end up paying 50 quid for returning and saving like 60 or something. Why it never rains, but it pours.
I now feel the most zen and humanly, thanks to Sisyphus himself and his absolutely facinating struggle.
