Dear Terence,
Thank you for the email.
I already add your account into my Line list. Finally, it did work.
I want to share some of my experience of studying English.
1st: I think vocabulary is really important because it will affect your listening comprehension and reading ability. By reading 旋元佑's book 字元大挪移, I knew how to break down each vocabulary, and it will help me to remember each word.
2nd: find some article which you are really interested in, and read them everyday. For example, I am really crazy about the sport especially MLB and NBA. Therefore, the first thing in the morning at the office is reading all the articles from espn.com. It is because those articles are my favorite sport, so I will become very eager to know what the report tries to tell me. I know sometime it will be very difficult to read some English article at the beginning, but from time to time, it will get easier.
3rd: twice a day, I will check chinapost.com.tw. Since we knew the daily news from TV everyday, it will become easier for me to catch the English version of what happens in Taiwan. In the meantime, I could also learn some vocabulary from daily basis, and it’s really useful.
4th : I will listen to ICRT when I am driving. I will try to put myself in English environment everyday. As you may know, sometimes we don’t catch every word especially the key word. That’s why I always think the vocabulary is very important. If we add more quantity of English word, the more we could understand the conversation.
Above all are some of my key points to learn English. I know it may not suit to everyone’s learning, but you could take this as a reference. Wish you could improve your English ability day by day.
BR,
Kevin
