Simple sentences

1. (Subject) + (Verb) : She / is sleeping.
2. (Subject) + (Verb)+(Object)：He / made / breakfast.
3. (Subject) + (Verb)+(Adverb)：We speak quietly.
4. (Subject) + (Verb)+(Prepositional)：I came from London.

verb動詞

a.action verb做了什麼/發生什麼事

b.state verb：know; understand; believe; appreciate; hate; contain; belong; consist of; exist; include; matter; own; prefer, realize; remenber; resemble

***state verbs不會有continuous*** 錯誤示範❌I am remenbering you.

c.linking verb用來描述狀態:be; seem;appear要強調某件事的時候 例：I do miss you!

原則：

1.先短後長

例：Show it to your friend 會比 Show your friend it 順耳

2.如果有兩個代名詞，先放indirect

例：Show me it. 錯誤示範❌ Show it me.

3.特別注意

·describe/explain/admit/announce/mention/report/shout/suggest/whisper/said indirect verb會在方位詞後 例：I describe a situation to them.

·cost/deny/forgive/grudge/refuse indirect verb會在動詞後

verbs with clauses

1. that-clauses: believe/think/explain/say 例：She said that she were angry.
2. if/whether/wh-words 例：She asked if anyone was hungry.
3. remind/tell/assure/convince/inform/notify/persuade前面一定要有indirect verbs 例：She told me that she was hungry.
4. admit/boast/confess/declare/hint/propose/reveal需要用to 例：She confess to him.
