我第一次閱讀原文時,不會因不懂第七章大標題Chump Change,及次標題Overcoming the Doormat Effect兩個專業術語詞彙(見附圖),而停止閱讀英文原文。
換句換說,我從未因不熟悉某些專業英文詞彙的中文意思,偏離我閱讀英文原文書想自學歐美新知的初心。

(學習案例一)我先專注閱讀作者描述第一個企業案例研究,作者描述畢業於常春藤盟校Lillian Bauer,在工作上一直努力奉行利他主義(altruism);在同儕間施與受互動關係中,一直扮演施予者(giver)及奉行施比受更有福(It is more blessed to give than receive.)的信念(見附圖)。
