Wilson: "Excuse me, I couldn't help but notice we're both on daddy duty today. First time at Din Tai Fung?"「
外國男性: "Oh, hi there! Yes, it's our first time. I've heard so much about their dumplings. Is it always this crowded?"「哦,你好!
Wilson: "Pretty much, especially during meal times. But trust me, it's worth the wait. I'm Wilson, by the way, and this is my wife, Mei."「差不多吧,尤其是在用餐時間。
Mei: "Nice to meet you! How old is your little one?"「
外國男性: "Nice to meet you both. I'm Tom, and this little guy is 18 months old. How about yours?"「很高興認識你們。
Wilson: "Ours just turned two. They grow up so fast, don't they? Are you visiting Taiwan or living here?"「我們的剛滿兩歲。
Tom: "We're here for a year on a work assignment. It's been quite an adventure with a toddler!"「
Mei: "Oh, that must be exciting! How are you finding Taiwan so far?"「
Wilson: "Speaking of Din Tai Fung, do you know what they're most famous for?"「說到鼎泰豐,你知道他們最有名的是什麼嗎?」
Tom: "I've heard it's their xiaolongbao, right? The soup dumplings?"「
Wilson: "Exactly! They're incredible. The trick is to eat them without burning your tongue or spilling the soup."「
Tom: "Oh, is there a special technique? I'd hate to embarrass myself."「
Mei: "Don't worry, it's part of the fun! They'll give you instructions. Basically, you put it on your spoon, poke a little hole to let the steam out, then sip the soup before eating the whole thing."「別擔心,這也是樂趣的一部分!
Wilson: "And don't forget to try their other specialties too. The shrimp and pork wontons in spicy sauce are amazing."「
Tom: "That sounds delicious! Any recommendations for ordering? I'm a bit overwhelmed by the menu options."「
Wilson: "Well, for a first-timer, I'd definitely suggest getting the classic pork xiaolongbao. Then maybe try the truffle xiaolongbao for something special. Oh, and their fried rice is surprisingly good too."「嗯,對第一次來的人,我一定會推薦經典的豬肉小籠包。
Mei: "And don't forget some veggies! Their sautéed string beans with garlic are delicious. It's good to balance out all the dumplings."「
Tom: "Thanks for the tips! I'm getting hungrier by the minute. Do they have any special considerations for kids?"「
Wilson: "They're pretty good with kids actually. They have high chairs, and the staff is usually very patient. Plus, most kids love the dumplings. Just be careful with the hot soup inside."「他們其實對孩子很友善。
Tom: "That's great to know. I'm really looking forward to this now. Thanks for all the information!"「
Wilson: "No problem at all! Oh, looks like we're almost at the front of the line. Get ready for a treat!"「
