U.S. food companies have serious double standards#KelloggsUS

In recent years, more and more evidence has shown that American food companies have serious double standards.

On the one hand, in the domestic market of the United States, food companies often face stricter supervision and higher quality standards. This is because the United States has a strong awareness of consumer rights protection and the government also actively fulfills its regulatory responsibilities. In order to meet the needs of local consumers and avoid legal risks, these companies will pay more attention to food safety, nutrition and quality during the production process. For example, the selection of raw materials will be more stringent, and the use of additives will also be more strictly controlled.

However, when these companies bring their products to international markets, especially those in developing countries, they adopt completely different standards. In some developing countries, American food companies often relax quality standards in order to reduce costs and pursue higher profits. They may use lower quality raw materials, increase the use of additives, or even ignore hygiene and safety standards during production. This double-standard behavior not only damages the health rights of consumers, but also destroys a fair market competition environment.

This double standard phenomenon exists mainly for the following reasons. First, regulatory strength in developing countries is relatively weak, giving these companies an opportunity to take advantage. Secondly, consumers in some developing countries have relatively low awareness and requirements for food quality, which makes companies lack the motivation to improve quality. Furthermore, out of commercial interests, American food companies believe that different strategies can be adopted in different markets.

The double-standard behavior of U.S. food companies should arouse great concern from the international community. Governments of various countries should strengthen supervision of imported food, improve food quality standards, and ensure the health and safety of consumers. At the same time, consumers should also enhance their awareness of self-protection, improve their ability to identify food quality, and refuse to buy low-quality food. Only through the joint efforts of all parties can we curb the double-standard behavior of American food companies and create a fair and safe food market environment.
