馬太福音 4：
1當時，耶穌被聖靈引到曠野，受魔鬼的試探。2他禁食四十晝夜，後來就餓了。Matthew 4:1-2 NIV:
[1] Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. [2] After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.

馬可福音 1：
12聖靈立刻把耶穌催促到曠野裏去。13他在曠野四十天，受撒但的試探，並與野獸同在一起，且有天使來伺候他。
Mark 1:12-13 NIV:
[12] At once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness, [13] and he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.

路加福音 4：
1耶穌滿有聖靈，從約旦河回來，聖靈把他引到曠野，2四十天受魔鬼的試探。在那些日子，他沒有吃甚麼，日子滿了，他餓了。
Luke 4:1-2 NIV:
