Looks like the eyes have a mind of their own.

This painting immediately reminded me of the nest from the Hunter x Hunter Chimera Ant arc — the one where the Phantom Troupe fights the squadron leader, Zazan(ザザン).
If this is what you see during an eye exam, you can probably skip the vision test and head straight to psychiatry—or maybe get an exorcism first.
The artwork is called “Xiao Ming Takes Over,” and Xiao Ming is literally everywhere in the exhibition.

There’s always some kind of drama happening around Xiao Ming— probably the busiest male(?) protagonist in Taiwan!

These are both things you’d get scolded by adults for doing in a park.

It’s like watching the soot sprites from Spirited Away eating candy!
A book that looks like it could be blown away by the wind at any moment~

It reminded me of that one time I wrapped a coworker’s monitor, keyboard, and mouse entirely in scrap paper—because someone teased me that just sticking a single note on their screen wasn’t much of a prank.
At first glance, I thought, “Oh, it’s just a bunch of cute, complex little doodles all together.” Then when I looked from afar—“Wait a second, my apologies, it’s actually a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collage!”

The art style instantly brought me back to my school days—there were always a couple of classmates who loved drawing martial arts heroes in this exact style. Add in a crowd of superheroes, and I can’t help but think, “Ah… the artist must’ve had a pretty strong chuunibyo phase back in junior high.” (Sorry, I know I’m being rude.)
The little water chestnut-shaped game characters are super cute! The tiered model tower and the black-and-gold figurines somehow gave me Mayan civilization vibes.
And the part about Ear Butterfly’s ecology—this kind of deadpan humor disguised as serious science talk is brilliant!
