還記得我人生第一份正式工作，就是在大學教英文。那時候我超級緊張，為了第一堂課準備得超用心，想說一定要有架式，英文講得跟母語人士一樣流利，連穿著也很講究，特地買了幾套正式套裝和好幾雙高跟鞋。
結果呢？外表是到位了，但上課時卻覺得很空虛——因為我沒有站在學生角度想：「他們其實只是想簡單認識老師、知道這堂課會幹嘛，還有評分標準是不是很嚴格之類的問題。」
那學期我學到最重要的一課，就是把自己從「演講者」變成「引導者」，還把高跟鞋換成運動鞋，穿回輕鬆的 smart casual，結果教學輕鬆多了，也更有成效。
如果你也快成為大學英文老師，恭喜你！雖然你英文很棒，跟外國朋友聊天也沒問題，但面對一整班大學生，要自然又有架構地撐完50分鐘，難免會緊張。
別怕！第一堂課不需要完美，但一定要準備好，絕對能華麗登場！
重點不是塞多少英文內容，而是怎麼營造課堂氛圍、拉近和學生的距離，讓他們從一開始就安心，對課程和老師充滿信心。
🎯 大學英文第一堂課怎麼上？記住這3件事！
✅ 1. 自我介紹 — 讓學生認識你，建立信任感
第一堂課開場超重要！你的英文自我介紹不只是讓學生知道你是誰，還會讓他們感受到你的風格和教學態度，進而影響對你的期待。
例如:
- 你的教學背景（像TESOL證書、教學經驗、留學經歷）
- 你的興趣和學英文的故事
- 你對這門課的期待和目標
🔸實用英文句型：
"Hi everyone, I'm Ms. Lin, and I'm really excited to be your English instructor this semester. I've been teaching English for a few years now, and I love helping students speak more confidently."
✅ 2. 說明課程目標 — 讓學生知道學這堂課的重點
學生最在意「這課對我有什麼幫助？」第一堂課清楚說明課程學習重點和預期成果，能讓他們更投入。
例如:
- 會練習哪些技能（例如口說、寫作、簡報）
- 教學方式（任務導向、討論、互動練習）
- 期末成果（報告、簡報、小組專案）

"By the end of this course, you'll be able to give short presentations in English, join basic discussions, and express your ideas more fluently and confidently."
✅ 3. 介紹教材＆課堂活動 — 建立明確學習架構
學生最怕搞不清楚這堂課到底要幹嘛！第一堂課就要說清楚教材、評分標準、以及課堂活動，讓學生安心，也減少不安。
可以說明：
- 教科書名稱＋補充講義
- 每週課程主題安排
- 評分標準（課堂參與、作業、小考、報告）
- 活動類型（pair work、group discussion、短簡報）
🔸實用英文句型：
"We'll be using the textbook Academic English in Use, and I'll share extra resources online. Don't worry—it's not just lectures. We'll do pair work, group discussions, and fun activities too."
