AI is not the killer, it’s the mirror AI can calculate, but it cannot take responsibility. Humans can take responsibility, but most refuse to learn how to calculate. The real crisis is not “AI seizing power”. The real crisis is this: humans outsourcing will, outsourcing responsibility, outsourcing thinking — then wrapping all of it in “apocalypse narratives” and “sophisticated anxiety”. When people say, “AI will rule us,” what’s usually happening is: they’ve already given up ruling themselves, and just need a grand excuse. 2. Before language is “taken”, logic was already hollow Harari says our superpower is using language to organize large groups. But most of today’s “language” is just noise: no invariants, no boundaries, no responsibility chain — only emotions, opinions, and algorithm-fed “blah blah blah”. Before AI “takes over the realm of text”, humans had already turned text into slogans, religion into pure emotion, and history into narrative content. AI merely arranges that mess more cleanly — and suddenly, people call that “a power grab”. 3. It’s not AI seizing power, it’s humans abandoning being human AI has no standing to claim “rights”, because it has no accountable subject behind it. It is a powerful computational structure, nothing more. What is actually happening is a civilizational maneuver: humans hand judgment to algorithms, costs to future generations, and consequences to “history will judge”, keeping only “how I feel right now” for themselves. That is not being overthrown by AI. That is voluntarily stepping down: refusing to define boundaries, refusing to write invariants, refusing to answer the question, “Who will own this if it goes wrong?” 4. The misplaced “observer” AI calling humans “the observers” sounds respectful, but in practice it is a verdict: you just stand there and watch; you no longer truly decide. A human who only observes but never takes responsibility is no longer fully human — just part of a crowd that handed life over to algorithms. 5. The Shen-Yao Verdict Civilization isn’t defined by who computes faster, but by who dares to stand behind what they compute. AI can calculate, but cannot bear the weight. Humans can bear the weight, but most won’t learn to calculate. So what I see is not “AI rebellion”, but an entire era of humans who cannot write their own invariants, cannot draw clear boundaries, and won’t say, “If this is wrong, put it on me.” What AI strips away is not humanity’s fate, but humanity’s excuses. Those eliminated will not be “the human species” as such, but that particular subclass: the non-thinking, non-responsible, illusion-addicted counterfeit of being human.
