In a highly competitive job market, everyone hopes to shine and stand out, lighting up their career path just like a unique star. LITEON LIGHT SEEKER Summer Internship Program offers students a chance to explore their career interests, unlock their potentials, and become a guiding light in their professional journey. Our interns just as LIGHT SEEKERs, searching for stars in the dark, persistently pursuing until finding the light at the end, becoming a shining star in the workplace. – LIGHT SEEKER
The key highlights of this program include below four parts:
1. A Fully English-Based Internship
The 2024 program welcomes 27 interns from seven different countries, including Taiwan, the US, Japan, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Malaysia. To ensure seamless communication and collaboration, English serves as the program's common language.
Throughout the two-month internship, all activities, team discussions, and CSR projects are conducted in English. While interns may communicate in Mandarin within their assigned functions, the overall program promotes the use of English to enhance language proficiency and cross-cultural understanding. We do hope this arrangement could provide a valuable opportunity for our interns to practice English, gain insights into diverse perspectives, and explore innovative ideas together.
LIGHT SEEKER Story – Brian (Vietnam)
Department of Electrical Engineering, NTUST
“As a foreign student, finding an internship in Taiwan isn't easy — most companies only recruit local students. I was pleasantly surprised to see that LITEON LIGHT SEEKER program welcomes international students. The chance to participate and improve my English skills motivated me to apply without any hesitation.”
2. Two Key Projects: Building your Hard and Soft Skills
The internship includes two major projects, each designed to enhance both professional expertise and interpersonal abilities:
(1) Individual BU Project (Business Unit)
During the application process, each applicant selects a project that aligns with their interests and skills. Project options range from hardware, firmware, and software development to business-focused fields like sales, marketing, HR, and finance etc. Detailed project descriptions, expected outcomes, and required skills are provided to help candidates choose a project that matches their expections.
Once selected, interns collaborate with their Project Owner (PO) to discuss project goals and expectations. Throughout the whole period, our interns will enhance their technical skills and grow with the guidance of mentors and colleagues who are always ready to help. At the end of the internship, each LIGHT SEEKER presents their project results to their team and will receive constructive feedback to further their development.
LIGHT SEEKER Story – Young
Department of Bio mechatronics Engineering, NTU
“I joined as a mechanical engineer intern in the Automotive Electronics Business Unit, working on the rotational mechanism for in-car display screens. I had opportunity to Leverage software I'd learned in school and that really helped me stay on track, but I needed to carefully evaluate design constraints and validate every detail using motion analysis tools. Through this project, I gained a deeper understanding of design processes and refined my expertise in gear and rack design.”
(2) Team-Based CSR Project
LITEON's corporate branding colors (Pantone 7466C) symbolizes our dual commitment to technology and sustainability. Beyond individual BU projects, the LIGHT SEEKER program introduces a team-based CSR project to highlight the importance of corporate responsibility.
The 27 interns are divided into five teams, each tasked with designing and implementing a CSR project within two months. These projects culminated in a final English presentation, where all teams share the impact and achievements of their CSR projects.
LIGHT SEEKER Story – Yusmie
Department of Economics, NTHU
“Life is so busy that making contributing to a sustainable future often feels out of reach—This was the starting point for our team project. Our team focused on SDG2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). We launched a series of initiatives, including creating a website to raise awareness about responsible consumption through internal surveys and distributing supplies to homeless individuals near Taipei Main Station. Our efforts finally reached over 1,700 website visitors and positively impacted more than 20 people in need. Seeing peoples' lives improve made all our effort worthwhile.”
Through LITEON LIGHT SEEKER Summer Internship Program, students gain more than just professional skills, they grow both as individuals and as global citizens. This experience empowers them to confidently navigate their career paths and shine brightly in the professional world.
💡 Three Key Roles to Support You at Work
The LIGHT SEEKER Summer Internship Program ensures that you're never alone on your journey. With dedicated POs, mentors, buddys, and career consultants by your side, you'll gain guidance, support, and inspiration to grow both personally and professionally.
1. PO (Project Owner): Your Go-To Expert
Every intern is paired with a PO and mentor to provide clear direction on project goals, track progress, and offer valuable feedback. They'll guide you through your two-month project and help you achieve meaningful results.
LIGHT SEEKER Story – Michelle
Graduate Institute of Business, NTU
“I'm so grateful for my mentor, who regularly touch base with me, offered thoughtful advice, and even chatted about topics outside of work. They also introduced me to LITEON Super Star Club, where we filmed a dance cover MV together! To my surprise, LITEON offers a variety of clubs to explore personal interests. We're even performing at the year-end party!!!
2. Buddy (NBA A): Your Role Model
Interns are paired with a New Brave Adventurer A (NBA A)—graduates of LITEON training program for recent hires. These role models, typically 2–3 years into their careers, provide insights into what it's like to grow at LITEON and offer tips for navigating the workplace. If you encounter challenges, your Buddy is always there to help.
3. Career Consultant (HRBP): Your Personal Career Coach
One unique aspect of the program is access to a dedicated Career Consultant from LITEON HR team (HRBP). Trained in professional career counseling, these consultants provide 1-1 sessions to help interns clarify career goals, address any uncertainties, and offer actionable advice based on their extensive industry experience.
LIGHT SEEKER Story – Helen
Department of International Business, NTU
“During my internship, I had the chance to meet with an HRBP for a personalized career counseling session. This was an invaluable opportunity as I prepared to enter the workforce. My HRBP quickly identified my strengths and challenges, using their experience to provide concrete suggestions for my career path. They patiently listened to my concerns about the future, encouraged me, and shared ways to boost my confidence. The conversation was warm and encouraging, giving me the confidence to take bold steps toward my goals.”
With the support of these three roles, LIGHT SEEKERs can explore their potential, and build a solid foundation for their careers. At LITEON, you'll find not just mentors, but true partners in your growth.
💡 Four Key Activities to Build Career Foundations

This 3-day, 2-night camp welcomes 27 interns from diverse backgrounds to learn about LITEON's culture, clarify career goals, and enhance communication across cultures.
• Day 1: Visit the headquarters in Neihu, Taipei, to explore LITEON's Showroom, shop, and mascot, gaining a deeper understanding of the company's vision and values.
• Day 2: A Career Exploration Workshop focusing on exploring personal interests, skills, and values to set personal goals for the two-month internship.
• Day 3: A Communication Training Session using interactive exercises to help interns improve communication with managers, colleagues, and peers from different cultural backgrounds.
LIGHT SEEKER Story – Angelyn (Indonesia)
Department of International Business, NCCU
“During the camp, I connected with fellow interns and got to know the company better. HR arranged diverse activities like mindfulness, career exploration, communication skills, and English presentation training. The Career Workshop helped me identify my strengths and weaknesses and understand my teammates' personalities and skills, which boosted our efficiency. Knowing everyone's strengths made our team work even better.”
2.English Presentation Training Course
LITEON offers specialized English presentation training to prepare interns for their final CSR project presentations. Taught by experienced instructors, the course emphasizes logical structuring, effective communication, and teamwork. Through group discussions and mock presentation sessions, interns practice their skills in a supportive environment, boosting their confidence in presenting ideas to global audiences.
LIGHT SEEKER Story – Rita
Master's Program in Communications, NCCU
“For someone with little experience in English presentations, this course was a game-changer. I learned the essentials of business presentations, focusing on strategy and structure rather than flashy visuals. During the workshop, we created and delivered presentations in teams, receiving detailed feedback for further improvement. For instance, I learned to replace large icons with critical data or charts to enhance clarity. The practical examples shared by the instructor helped me simplify complex ideas and communicate them effectively.”
3.Sustainability Project - Nanpu, Hsinchu
Interns had the opportunity to engage in LITEON's sustainability efforts through hands-on rice planting and harvesting in Nanpu, Hsinchu. This activity connected participants with the environment and showcased LITEON's commitment to sustainability. In August, interns planted rice seedlings and returned in December to harvest their crops. The day included cutting rice, visiting historical irrigation systems, and making three-color rice dumplings, offering them a deeper appreciation for agriculture and sustainable practices.
LIGHT SEEKER Story – John
Master's Program in Communications, NCCU
“Returning to Nanpu to harvest the rice we planted was deeply meaningful. We cut the crops, sorted grains, and dried the straw. The highlight was learning about Nanpu's irrigation history and culture before ending the day. This project gave me a profound respect for farmers' work and reminded me of the satisfaction that comes from hard work, continuous learning, and the bounty of nature.”
4. LIGHT SEEKER Day- Presentation & Celebration
At the end of the program, interns present their two-month journey through individual BU projects and CSR team initiatives. Presentations highlight contributions, challenges, solutions, and the impact of CSR projects on society and the environment. Interns also received feedback and guidance for their future development.
We are incredibly proud of all our 2024 interns, Congratulation for your graduation!!
LIGHT SEEKER Story – Yu Han (Malaysia)
Department of Business Administration, NCKU
“I was thrilled to present my BU project as one of the top 10 finalists at LIGHT SEEKER Day. Summarizing two months of work into a five-minute presentation was challenging but rewarding. My project included competitive analysis, website copy optimization, banner design, and video production. Sharing my video with the all participants was a proud moment. Through the experience, I gained a deeper understanding of user-focused marketing strategies and how to enhance conversion rates.”
From exploring career paths to sustainable practices, these activities equip interns with the tools and confidence to excel in their professional journeys. At LITEON, every step lays the groundwork for future success.
✨ Exclusive Lunch with Chairman Tom
At LITEON,open communication has always been core value. To help the LIGHT SEEKERs gain deeper insights into our corporate culture and future direction, we organized a special lunch meeting with our Chairman, Tom.
This unique session provided interns with the opportunity to engage in a fully English dialogue with Tom, where they could ask questions on various topics such as knowledge application, career development, and workplace wisdom. Tom also shared his industry insights to sharpen the interns' market awareness and broaden their professional horizons. In this relaxed setting, the LIGHT SEEKERs not only received invaluable advice but also improved their English communication skills while learning directly from an experienced leader. It was an inspiring and unique experience that left interns with fresh perspectives and a strong sense of belonging within the LITEON family.
