"If I don't have even 1% of talent, does putting in effort still matter?"
Xiao Ming's Diary
Today, I had a conversation with a friend about the concept of "effort."
Xiao Ming: They say success is 1% talent and 99% effort. But what if I don't have that 1% of talent? Does it mean all the hard work is for nothing?
Xiao Hua: Are you trying to go to Taichung, or are you heading up north?
Xiao Ming: Wait, where am I, though?
Xiao Hua: Exactly, your current position matters. If you're in Taipei and you head north, how long will it take to reach Taichung?
Xiao Ming: A really long time, I guess. I'd have to go around the entire Earth to get to Taichung!
Xiao Hua: Effort does count, but you've got to make sure you're heading in the right direction.
