這首歌已經變成莎賓娜卡本特的粉絲們想念《Short'n Sweet》巡迴演出的一種方式，因為在SNS巡演的最後，莎賓娜唱了最後一首〈Don't Smile〉，也有許多人把它剪輯成巡演的短片錦集，用「不要因為發生而微笑，要因為結束而哭泣」作為持續一年半的巡演的結果，作為對於依依不捨心情的最佳註腳。
這首歌的旋律和歌聲都很悠揚，歌詞很簡單，沒有需要深掘的雙關和意象。不過情感方面和創作的點子仍然很有趣，一般想到失戀曲，都會想到為過往美好回憶惋惜，但莎賓娜寫的方式卻如整張《Short'n Sweet》專輯一樣，短小、甜美、卻又充滿力量。她並不期望要回到往昔，反而是斷言並力求留下一股不可遺忘的影響力：對一個人可以留下的最大的影響可能是「I wan't you to miss me」，讓你想忘都忘不掉，讓衝擊力或身影，在我轉身離開以後，還能夠遺留下一道痕跡。
