2021年挪威國會以72比15的壓倒性票數，通過了一項有關照片修圖的法案。
若法案實施，廣告、網紅等單位在社群媒體上發布照片時，就必須揭露照片有經過修圖或濾鏡的地方。

Filter主要的意思是過濾、滲透。
名詞則可以表示用於執行過濾或滲透動作的工具，如濾紙、紅綠燈（用於道路分流）等。

在《Intentions》這首歌裡，Filter則是指拍照使用的濾鏡，通常用於修飾、美化照片，讓我們在拍照或是錄影的時候，留下更好看的樣子。

美國社會學家查爾斯．霍頓．顧里（Charles Horton Cooley）在他的著作《人性與社會秩序Human Nature and the Social Order, 1902》裡提出鏡中自我（Looking glass self）的概念。

他認為人的「自我意識」是經由個體與他人互動後，依照他人對自己的看法而建立的。
並提出三個形成自我意識的要素。

表現（Presentation）想像自己在他人心中的形象。
比如我認為自己是個喜歡閱讀的人，也常常在出去玩的時候，特別喜歡去書店逛逛，所以覺得認識我的人們，會覺得我是個書蟲。

辨認（Identification）想像其他人如何看待我這樣的形象。
我認為大多數的人應該會覺得書蟲通常比較喜歡室內休閒活動，而不是出門曬太陽。

主觀解釋（Subjective interpretation）依照「想像中」他人的看法，給自己一個主觀的解釋。
所以我認為如果我約一個知道我喜歡閱讀（並且沒有熟到知道我喜歡運動）的朋友去打球，可能會令他們感到驚訝，因為他們可能會覺得書蟲比較喜歡待在家。

回到挪威修圖法案。
看著大家在社群媒體裡一個比一個好看，多多少少增加我們對自己身體的不滿和心理健康的問題。

對比自己純天然不添加濾鏡的照片，感覺自己真的長得不怎麼樣（表現），加上認為通常長得好看的人更受歡迎，而長得普通的人容易被忽略的認知（辨認），最終得到「覺得自己長得不怎麼樣所以不被喜愛（主觀解釋）」的結論。

讓一個人不受歡迎的原因有很多，修圖法案最多告訴我們，修圖後的照片裡的那些誇張的肌肉、苗條身材、完美無瑕的膚質和美麗的頭髮，並不是這些人實際上真實的樣子。
有了這樣的認知，或多或少可以改變部分對自己不切實際的要求。

雖然知道了這些要求不切實際，但我認為人還是會想追求更美和更美好的事物，這沒有什麼問題，只要是自己想追求的生活，每個人都有權利去捍衛自己的夢想。
我個人也同樣的專注於自己想做的事，只是需要偶爾提醒自己，在參考他人的意見時，要多考量自己是不是真的想要跟隨或是實際上是否定他們想法的；也許經過釐清後，會更肯定自己想做的事情。
