On 9 December 2012, the BBC announced that Kodaline had been nominated for the Sound of 2013 poll.

Kodaline是來自都柏林的4人成員樂團，主唱Steve Garrigan、鼓手Vinny May Jnr、吉他手Mark Prendergast是兒時玩伴，平均年齡在22、23歲，他們8歲就認識了，所以成軍時間非常早。貝斯手Jason Boland是第4名最後加入的成員。(引用來源)
