Unexpected Gym Buddies: A Tentative First Encounter

Kevin: (Approaches the water cooler, nodding politely) Evening.

Kevin：（走近飲水機，禮貌地點頭）晚上好。

Mark: Hi there! Phew, that treadmill really got me. I'm Mark, by the way. New here.

Mark：嗨！唷，那跑步機真把我累壞了。我是Mark。我是新來的。

Kevin: (Slightly surprised by Mark's friendliness) Oh, hi. I'm Kevin.

Mark: Nice to meet you, Kevin! Man, I didn't realize how out of shape I was. Ten minutes on that thing and I'm ready to call it a day. How long have you been coming here?

Kevin: (Warming up a bit) About a year now.

Mark: A whole year! Wow, you must be a pro by now. Any tips for a newbie like me? I'm trying to shed some pounds, but I feel so lost.

Kevin: (Cautiously) Well, everyone starts somewhere. Maybe try different machines?

Mark: That's a great idea! I've been eyeing that cycling machine. Looks less intimidating than this treadmill. Say, do you work with any of the trainers here?

Kevin: (Nodding) Yes, just finished a session actually.

Kevin: (Offering a bit more) It helped me get started. But there are also good videos online if you're on a budget.

Mark: Online videos, huh? Never thought of that. Thanks, Kevin! You know, it's great to chat with someone here. Makes this place feel less daunting. Maybe I'll see you around?
