Many people think that recipes are outdated. In my point of view, recipes aren't only just a way to learn how to cook, they are even a tradition, as recipes were formed 20,000 years ago. First of all, recipes are a unique yet irreplaceable way to share cooking ideas. This special way to communicate was already formed 20,000 years ago, which is extremely fascinating. Moreover, written recipes often provide clear guidelines, which are easy for people to understand. Furthermore, recipes offer instructions and advice about different techniques and can go into a level of detail that an image simply cannot. Pictures can't explain complicated recipes. For example, if you want to make a complicated cake, it is impossible to make it with only pictures. Also, most beginner cooks need explanations more than illustrations. Conclusively, recipes cannot be replaced by anything. They are an essential part of our lives.
