一直很喜歡英文中的畢業典禮稱作 Commencement,直譯回中文就變成「開始典禮」 ,剛剛查了一下是北美1850年開始的用法,不過最早可以回朔至14世紀,意指「授與學位後開始碩士與博士生涯的使命(privilege)」。
[註:這裡的privilege很難翻譯,我們常常翻譯成「特權」,但是特權在中文語意可以說是全部都是負面的,但是英語許多都是中性或正向的用語,往往帶有自謙或更高的自我使命感的意思]。
每一段生活與關係的結束,便是另一段新的開始。所謂結束,並不代表終結或毀滅,而是另一個新生、另一個開始。開始與結束,是銅板的兩面。
同理,搬家是人與房子故事的結束,卻是下一段居住故事的序幕,只是這一次可能要住公園,以天為被,以地為席(笑
