過年期間,剛好Deepseek的新聞炒得沸沸湯湯。BBC態度相對保守,新聞標題將「革命」和「炒作」兩面並陳。[1]不論如何,台灣的公部門會限制使用這款生成式AI。[2]
在Deepseek爭議塵埃落定之前,一些較沒爭議的功能,例如協助寫作訓練,是目前的AI技術可以協助人類的。在主流媒體,或自媒體,爭相吹捧,或撻伐Deepseek之際,現在最常被使用的ChatGPT已經可以協助寫作訓練了。經測試,其功用十分傑出。
鑒於本平台討論學測英文已有一定量的內容,筆者想趁大考結束,與成績放榜前的這段空白時段,測試一下「AI具體而言如何協助自己精進寫作技巧。」
本文會以大考中心公布的113年英文作文佳作[3]為範例,在不改變原文旨要的前提下,透過適當改寫,並將其輸入,讓AI逐步:一、抓出旨要(sorting out the main idea`/summarizing);二、重整段落(rewriting the passage); 三、抓出重點(breaking down into key points);四、重組段落(incorporating the key points);最後,五、簡短輸出(rendering a concise version),以形成字數約60-70字(全文合計120-150字)容易消化的短文。作為測試之用,本文先以上段為例,將生成70個單詞以內,具有基本文章結構的短文。

The issue I want to tackle the most with my robot helper is the second one: caring what others think. 本文的目的在於分解筆者自己使用ChatGPT改寫短文的步驟;當作低成本的替代選項,適合有寫作問題,卻苦於缺乏指導者的人。有興趣的人可以自己嘗試看看。
於寫作練習上,ChatGPT 的AI確實是好用的工具;前提是明確知道自己的需求,並能用清晰的指令操作AI生成所需的段落。
經測試,英文似乎是最容易下達指示的語言:幾乎沒有生成毫無意義的言詞;足見OpenAI在以英文為主要訓練語言的威力。
AI很能生成「結構完整的文章,」儘管讀久了會讓人覺得呆板、千篇一律。不過,在訓練自己掌握段落組織的這個任務上,AI提供十足優異的協助。
