英文面試要用什麼文法時態？教你四個最正確的時態回答問題| Joyce的職場視界#1017

1. Past Tense 過去式

主要在形容某一個過去的時間點，通常用來說明自己曾擔任的職位，曾負責的工作內容，或者要敘述以前的某件事/某個職務。另外，使用過去式也代表，現在已經離開那份職務，沒有暗示任何將來的意思，只是說明一個已發生過的事實。

職務內容 –
I worked in retail as a floor associate for five years.
我曾經擔任五年的店面樓管
I was responsible for Marketing.
我曾經負責行銷部門
While I enjoyed my time in my last job, there was a lack of opportunity in the way I wanted to progress in my career.
我曾經很享受上一份工作，不過那份工作缺少進一步的發展機會。
In my last role, I managed all social media content.
在我的上一份工作，我負責所有社群媒體的內容。

一個事件 –
It was the first day of my boss’s vacation and our client threatened to leave. I spent my lunch hour on the phone with the client talking through his concerns. He was so grateful for my personal attention that he signed another six-month contract before my boss even returned from the trip.
我上班的第一天剛巧遇到主管休假，當時有位客戶表明不再與公司續約。在主管休假回來之前，我花了一個午餐時間來說服客戶，最後該客戶很感謝我的心力，也順利延續了6個月的合約。

2. Present Perfect Tense 完成式

主要用於敘述三個部分：經驗值、過去以來一直在做的事且未來還是會持續做，以及曾經的成就。現在完成式以及完成進行式都有很明確的暗示，表示這個句子裡提到的內容，從以前就開始了，而且未來還會繼續下去。以下範例可以看出和過去式明顯的不同：

過去到現在一直做的事 –
I have enjoyed working with strategies.
我一直都很喜歡策略方面的工作 (暗示以後也會繼續)
I have worked with strategies.
我一直都做策略方面的工作 (暗示以後也會繼續)
I have been working with strategies.
我一直都做策略方面的工作 (強烈暗示以後也會繼續)

個人經驗與成就 –
I’ve learned a lot in my current role. I have exceeded my KPIs every quarter and have been promoted twice in the past five years.
我一直從我的職務裡學了很多，並且總是表現超出績效的範圍，過去五年期間，我已經升遷了兩次。
I have handled the department for 20 employees and have reduced cost by 15%. 我一直負責管理一個二十人的部門，並持續降低成本約 15%。
I’ve made significant progress.
我達成了顯著的進展。
I’ve used visual growth charts to show my clients how each step can impact their goals.
我一直都用圖表數字讓客戶看到表現成長，讓他們知道每一步驟都影響著目標。

3. Simple Tense簡單式
任何時候只要講到一個事實或經常發生的常態，一定只能用簡單式。務必先將這個觀念搞懂。於是，當被問到關於性情、品德、能力、個人風格時，使用簡單式保證無誤。

性情品德 –
I am able to stay calm when I focus on the bigger picture and break down my projects into smaller tasks.
我會保持冷靜專注在大方向上，並將我的專案分成幾個小的任務階段。
I enjoy guiding other team members on projects and making sure everything goes smoothly.
我喜歡在專案管理時，引導團隊成員，讓整個過程更流暢。

個人風格 –
I work toward completing my individual duties as effectively as possible, balancing that with professional growth and contributing to larger organizational goals.
我的工作以完成個人工作範圍為基本，並盡量有效影響他人，藉此對組織有所貢獻，並尋求個人專業成長上的平衡。
When it comes to managing people, my leadership is to start by asking questions that hopefully get the person to come to a new conclusion on their own.
當談到領導力，我的風格是要問對問題，用問題引導人們自己想出方向。

4. Progressive Tense 進行式

當被問到找新工作的過程，或者有多期待進入這家公司，用進行式就是最適合不過了。

I’m also looking for a position like this opening that supports underserved communities, which is a personal passion of mine.
我正在尋找類似這個職缺的工作，既可為有需求的社區服務，也剛好符合我的個人興趣。
I’m excited having conversations about this opportunity in your company. 我很開心有機會和您聊到貴公司的這份職缺。
