一、麻省理工告訴你履歷表怎麼寫

1.不要一稿多投 - 參考職缺描述來決定履歷的內容。
2.使用不小於10 pt 的保守字體,並在所有頁面都留下至少半英寸的邊界空白。
3.堅持只要一頁就好。
4.謹慎地使用粗體來突顯關鍵訊息或者部分的標題。
5.使用具體且強烈的動作動詞(action verb)來描述你的經歷。
6.描寫成就和貢獻,而不僅僅是責任。
7.偷偷置入「關鍵字」。
8.仔細修改,反覆檢查。
9.問自己一個問題:「如果我是面試官,我會錄取我自己嗎?」

四、撰寫「工作經驗」 ( Experience ) 時的要點:

¤Left-aligned text, no smaller than 10 ptfont, with or without bullets, makes it easier to read quickly
¤Employers want to see that you have had positions of increasing responsibility and leadership
¤Do not focus on the tasks that you did, such as answered phones, served customers, and created budgets
¤Focus on what you accomplished by doing these things; answer the question, "So what?" for employers
¤Be specific about what you did, quantify the size and scope of your projects, and name the skills you used
¤Begin each statement with a powerful, action verb and use phrases not sentences
¤Identify the skills mostrelevant to the position to which you are applying
¤List skills in order of importance from most important to least important within the categories or jobs
¤Do not duplicate the same information

六、Things to do on a resume:

•Use good quality paper.
•Keep it simple, concise, visually appealing,and avoid overcrowding
Tailoryour objective to the position; be specific in what you want and what skills you offer
•Pay careful attention to spelling, punctuation, and grammarby checking each word
•Make it action-oriented. It should communicate the transferability of your experience and the "value-added benefits" you bring to the employer
•Focus on facts and figures by quantifying accomplishments when possible
•Use short phrases, not long sentences, that convey a positive, concise description of your accomplishments, not your tasks
•Use words that convey and connect the results(e.g., reduced, gained, brought, advanced, expanded, saved improved, increased)
•Use strategically selected key words and buzz words pertaining to the industry and position you are seeking.

七、履歷表不該做的事情

•不管是學歷或者任何名稱都不應該使用簡寫 ( Bachelor of Science in Business, not BS in Business) 。
•自傳、介紹信都不應該跟履歷表混在一起,應該分開成另一份文件。
•自製履歷表時,不應該放入身高、體重、婚姻狀況、身分證字號、年紀、宗教信仰、政治取向。
•敘述事情時不應該用「我」起頭(應該直接用強而有力的動詞起頭)。
•不應該說謊或誇大事實。
•不要自以為幽默。
•敘述事情時不應該用「我負責……」起頭。
•不需要提及薪水、薪資、福利等。
