別讓情緒控制自己 Don't let emotions control you

"Why are you unwilling to talk to me?"
"Because you always undermine my ideas."
"The issue is that you have misunderstood."
"I dislike being criticized."
"I wasn't criticizing you as a person; I meant you were mistaken about this particular matter."
"Nevertheless, it still upsets me."
"Does this feeling of upset serve any constructive purpose?"
"No, if I continue with this attitude, I might become resistant to hearing the truth."
"Then why hold on to this emotion?"

小明:「你為什麼不願意和我講話?」
我:「因為你老是潑我冷水。」
小明:「問題是你真的講錯了。」
我:「我不喜歡別人說我錯了。」
小明:「我沒說你錯了,我是說你這件事情說錯了,我不是否定你整個人。」
我:「但我不開心。」
小明:「這不開心的情緒有幫助到你嗎?」
「沒,如果我繼續這樣下去。可能就聽不到真話了。」
小明:「那你要這情緒幹嘛?」
我:「 ∑( ̄□ ̄;) 」
